After a long hiatus from my studio I return to my passion. This is an opportunity to re-define my artistic intention and draw inspiration from the artists that I represented as the Director of Water Street Gallery.
Stepping back into the studio has been a powerful, invigorating and somewhat overwhelming experience. I have decided it is time for me to mix it up, to explore other processes and mediums that have held my interest but have yet to be pursued. I am looking in a new direction and exploring various themes that revolve around the figure.
My new paintings and collages contain varying degrees of abstraction, pattern and imagery. Inspired by light, movement and social interaction, my goal is to infuse these elements and portray a balance of realism combined with loose abstraction causing one to compliment the other.
