Lynne Miller Jones spent her early years in Cleveland, Ohio and began formal art training at the Cleveland Institute of Art.  She went on to major at the University of California, Berkley where she received a B.A.  Interested in combining her 2D art with her sewing and knitting hobbies, she continued her applied art education at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, receiving an A.A.S in textile and surface design in 1988.

In her paintings, Lynne tries to immerse the viewers in serene fields of natural imagery; nurturing a desire to preserve and protect our natural spaces.  Scientific observation informs her work.  But her paintings are not literal recordings of data; rather painterly and gestural impressions of her subjects.

Lynne has exhibited her work extensively around the U.S. and her paintings are held in many private collections.
