ARTIST STATEMENT

My work often involves bird/human images. These images are a curious combination of animal and human spirit, gestures and emotion. The bird is an ancient symbol for the soul: the part of ourselves that knows no boundaries is a part of something larger which allows us to dream, create, and explore the mysteries. My sculptures are often cast in bronze, which is a beautiful and enduring medium.
